Perpetual Darkness

Theres a rightful need in the greed somehow
To salvage whats left of a human instinct
We awaken to the finality of wisdom's end

Theres a heavy lure in madness somehow
Like in a blackout of all guiding lights
Even the moon burns with a bitter vengeance

There are no spoons
There are us loons
Our holocaust noon
Is rising too soon

Perpetual darkness...

On every kingdom's throne
In all the deity's homes
On sacred alter stones
Have we still not seen

Perpetual darkness...

There will be nothing left
That we can own
But our thoughts and dreams
O what could have we been

perpetual darkness...
are we still not seeing
perpetual darkness...
have we still not seen

enough!
